2024 - ebay #266887010551, $2,100, Zaragoza Spain, " Very Rare Ultrafine Sapphires & Platinum Pocket Watch. Switzerland, Circa 1930 Very rare ultrafine sapphire pavé platinum pocket watch, Art Deco design and made in Switzerland circa 1930 and in fine condition and working order. As well as for its lovely and elegant design, this watch stands out for its quality platinum case paved with sapphires at the edge and the ring. A very stylish detail which turns this watch into a designer’s jewel. The dial is white, with white Arab numerals and ‘poire’ silvery hands. At the 12 position wit can see the name PEREDA, and at the 6 position, the word MADRID. This tells us that the watch was probably made for a so-called jewelry located in the Spanish capital city. The rear cap has no decoration; inside there is a hallmark which we have not been able to identify, as platinum objects were not uniformly hallmarked until the 1970s. We can also see a mark with the inscription H.M.C. and the serial number 904361. The outer side of this cap shows some light scratch due to the trace of time and use, which scarcely interferes in the watch’s beauty and quality. The movement has another serial number, 63356. As gorgeous as modern, this rare ultrafine sapphire pavé platinum pocket watch is a real collector’s piece but also a stylish accessory for special occasions. Dimensions: Diameter (without crown): 45.5 mm. Weight: 47.2 cm"
